Why are the Plastic Wallet Cards being delayed? Most of us are willing to pay for the cards too. Can we please have the contact information of the person who came up with this stupid idea and discontinued the plastic wallet cards. We would like to start complaining directly to the person responsible for this action.

I certainly do not want you to get humiliated. I don't wish that upon anyone. And while I do think the virtual business card is a good idea, I also think it should be easy to order a valet card.
My response was to the original comment about where to go for further proof. I only meant that going to the genuine Microsoft.com website and signing in to see the transcript is in itself proof. Why can the plastic cards not be faked? If I was an interviewer and this level of distrustful to new candidates, I would certainly believe a visit to microsoft.com over a plastic card. I looked at my own MCT card and it doesn't look that difficult to falsify.

But being a candidate looking for a job is hard, I have done that myself but I live in a society with a high level of both trust (you might consider it naivite) and easy access to computers. I admit limited exposure to 3rd world countries though I certainly understand that internet access is not everywhere.

Are you serious man? How do i say it to the interview board? Like " Please visit blah blah blah, type in this, then the password is this, there you have the proof". I don't think so. The moment i say this line, i'm out of the job. 100% sure. You need to provide the details then and there. Do you think the interview board will have computers running with a live net connection? In a developing (3rd world) country? Nope.
Do you know how many times that i've been humiliated because i don't have the MCITP wallet card to show i'm telling the truth. VBC is good for online things but in real life, it's a let down.

I paid lots of money to get MSCD MCAD MCPD ....
and want to have wallet card as small thing that can some time to show to my friends peoples around me. I think it's a really bullshit about "green"

Everything is digital today but this doesn't mean Microsoft has to discontinue Welcome Kits containing Printed Certificate, Label Pin and Wallet Card. The Green thing is just a lie to cut expenses, Microsoft can charge for the Welcome Kit because I am ready to pay and most of us are .. We want the Welcome Kit back. Shame on Microsoft for discontinuing Welcome Kits on the name of Wastage and resource usage.

I am one of many who would like plastic wallet cards back.
Idea:
Creating a plastic wallet card with a chip. On the card would be general MCP logo and MCPs data as it was. In the chip (of curse if it is possible to make) would be electronic certificates or some other data showing what certificates he has. It could be updated manually after getting new certificate, so problem of "pile of cards" would be solved, plastic card and electronic form of certificate would be available.

Its Dec 8, 2009 here and there is no screen shot, no explanation, no direction, nothing. Oh wasted MCITPs! some body advise us here of what to do because this monoply in some of our countries by M$ has done us bad otherwise we would be already gone like some MCPs did long ago from this forum!

I want to just see that hypered VBC though am pretty sure that it can never help upcoming MCPs to shrive over others who are non-MCPs because there is nolonger going to be a difference.

Please bring back the Plastic Wallet Cards. Please try to understand the importance of Plastic Wallet Cards especially for people that don't live in North America and the countries of Western Europe. Even in the US when interviewing inexperienced candidates, employers are still asking for the Plastic Wallet Cards.

I don't know what the final decision will be. The fact that we're launching VBCs Dec 8th does NOT preclude any decision regarding wallet cards.

VBCs were conceptualized a long time before the virtual welcome kits were introduced. We're launching VBCs because we believe it will be a valuable resource. I've said it many times - VBCs are NOT meant as a replacement for wallet cards but as a completely new benefit.

The wallet card issue is still under consideration and if there is a final decision made (one way or the other), you'll know about it.

Erwin, As you can see from all of these comments on this page, that not a single person will be satisifed unless you bring back the Wallet Cards.. If Dec 8th is the big debut of the VBC program, then you must already know what the final decision is going to be. The fact that its not getting shared to us on this forum, must tell us that either no one is really listening to us, or that this is the wrong forum for this topic.. Beginning on Monday i will start the Calling campain.. i will post the phone numbers and contacts that i make upon this forum so that others who feel as strongly about the wallet cards can also "Make the Call"

I hope the name of this Blog doesn't change to Born 2 Lie!!!. I have witness hoe serious Techs have gone silent because they got feed up with all the developments at MS. I miss their expert discussions here and i know they might be passive somewhere like i was but just had nothing to do because i see comments of people who are new and never saw the comments that run around March - August about this Wallet Card. Its very annoying but there will be a solution. Well we have waited for the snap shots as promised but 8th Dec is knocking and there is nothing!
